Paralink

Para Link M.
Kingsway Canal Bridge, Rochester. High strength Paralink geogrids can be used in direct contact with the pile caps. Paralink is BBA Roads and Bridges Certified for 120 year design life.
A40 Carmarthen bypass. Paralink 1250S (transverse) and 150S (longitudinal) were used in strips. Unlike woven PET high strength textiles, Paralink is BBA Roads and Bridges Certified for 120 year design life.

Linear Composites ParaLink.

Paralink is a unique high strength uniaxial geogrid used in basal platforms over piles, soft ground or over voids caused by mineworkings, caves and so on. Available in strengths up to 1250kN in a single layer of geogrid, Paralink consists of polyester reinforcement yarns encapsulated within a tough polyethylene sheath. the product is so tough, it can be placed in direct contact with pile caps in a piled embankment.

By using Paralink reinforcement in piled embankments, we are often able to reduce the amount of piles required beneath the embankment. This can lead to significant cost savings on the overall project. The Paralink provides a 'bridge', transferring loads from the embankment into the piles.

This hard yet flexible protective shell greatly enhances the damage installation partial factors of safety in a BS8006 design procedure. The result is that to offer the same reinforcing function, a lower Ultimate tensile strength Paralink can be used, than a woven unprotected polyester geotextile.
