Rockfall Netting

Maccaferri Steelgrid B150 high strength rockfall netting is reinforced with integral high tensile steel cables. Adjacent panels can be butt-jointed.
Network Rail, Kyle of Lochalsh. Maccaferri Steelgrid B150 reinforced rockfall netting was used here to protect the railway line from rockfalls. The 1770N/mm2 integral high strength steel cables reduce installation and 'face-time' for contractors.
Rockfall Netting stabilises the cliff face at Browns Bay.

Maccaferri rockfall neeting is used to as a drapery system to prevent rocks and debris from falling onto infrastructure. Secured at the crest and foot of the slope, the falling debris is encapsulated behind the mesh.

Maccaferri rockfall netting mesh is manufactured from our renowned double twist woven steel wire mesh. Our netting is flexible and easy to install and thanks to the double twist weaving, it is strong enough to withstand the force of the falling rocks but unlike chain-link mesh, does not unravel should some of the wires break. Even if wires within our rock netting are broken or damaged, Maccaferri doulbe twist woven mesh rockfall netting will not unravel, or unzip. We do not use our Maccaferri welded mesh in these applications.

Standard UK Stock in grey plastic coated mesh.
