MacTex W1 (Polypropylene) for heavy duty separation layers in pavements and earthworks construction, filters and separation layers at the base of rock-mound breakwaters.
MacTex W1 woven geotextiles are used as separation and foundation reinforcement, mainly for road and rail construction, from woven polypropylene. It offers extremely good stress-strain characteristics and has a high resistance against mechanical damage during the installation process.
Geosynthetics with high tensile strength are the solution to geotechnical problems, such as deep slip failures, lateral spreading and side slope instability. A major advantage is enabling embankments to be constructed to a greater height using less space and materials.
MacTex W1 is available upto 300 kN/m in strength and certain grades are available with bidirectional strength.
The lighter grades tend to be used as a separation/reinforcement layer beneath temporary and permanent road construction. They successfully limit differential settlements. Heavier grades are generally used in more demanding applications, including working platforms and accessways across very soft ground.
