Enkagrid TRC

Enkagrid TRC is a high modulus multifunctional geogrid. It consists of a Twaron aramid geogrid embedded within a geotextile. TRC therefore strengthens weak or poor subgrade soils as well as providing a material seperation and fitration function in one product. Enkagrid TRC is used in both paved and unpaved roads.

The Twaron geogrid is typically 5x stronger than steel, and has a high modulus and low elongation (approximately 1.5% under working loads and 3.5% at break). Thus, strengths are mobilised with minimal deformation at the road surface. These capabilities also mean that the thickness of pavement construction layers can be reduced, thereby saving whole project costs, reducing environmental impact and truck movements of aggregates; essential considerations on modern construction projects.
