Maccaferri offers the MacTex non-woven PP range of needle-punched geotextiles manufactured from 100% high tenacity virgin polypropylene continuous fibres. These are used in many general separation, protection and filtration applications where a quality geotextile is required.

 

MacTex H & N are generally used where a separation fabric is required between two technically differing materials, especially where a good quality material is in contact with a more marginal soil, and contamination needs to be avoided. This is especially true behind gabion walls where a separation fabric is required between the structure and the existing material being retained, as well as in our MacWall range of solutions between the drainage stone and granular structural backfill.

MacTex P: Protection geotextiles

These thick chunky geotextiles are ideal as protection fabrics to membrane liners, or over materials that are prone to being punctured or damaged by fill or adjacent materials placed upon them.  They are also used beneath heavy rip-rap where puncture resistance and good flow capacity are important.

MacTex non-woven geotextiles offer good elongation characteristics, providing technical performance even when the product is distorted or stretched through its use.
