Pavements: Temporary Working Platforms

To minimise the risk of piling rigs overturning during use, regulations require that the piling platform is designed. This is to ensure that a consistent performance and bearing capacity is offered throughout the platform.

Geosynthetics can be used to stabilise and reinforce the aggregates used in the piling platform offering;

  • Increased strength
  • Reduced differential settlement
  • More reliable performance
  • Reduced volumes of materials (depending upon conditions)

By selecting a geosynthetic reinforcement material from our range of geogrids and geotextiles, Maccaferri is well positioned to optimise a material to suit your specific conditions.

Product Benefits
Enkagrid® MAX Cost effective, polypropylene biaxial geogrid delivering strength at low strain.
Enkagrid® TRC High modulus multifunction biaxial geogrid to separate, filter and reinforce in one product. Strains only 1.5% under working loads.
Geolon® PP Geotextiles Polypropylene woven geotextiles in a variety of strengths from 15kN/m to 800kN/m, to offer separation and reinforcement in one product. Some Geolon PPs also offer biaxial strength.
Geolon® PET Geotextiles High performance woven polyester geotextiles in a variety of strengths from 100kN/m to 1000kN/m, all with low-strain characteristics.
Bidim Geotextiles Versatile, non-woven needle punched polypropylene geotextiles for separation of soils.
